The Luca Lynn brand aims to blend contemporary fashion trends with the edgy So-Cal feel, creating a swimwear like no other. Taking inspiration from tattoo artists and graphic designs while paying close attention to detail, Luca Lynn has created a very unique product. They manufacture what they consider to be their “blank canvases” in Brazil, using only the highest quality Brazilian lycra. The unique silhouettes made for a variety of body types, are brought to the U.S. where they artfully apply embellishments including screen prints, appliqués, buttons and belts. The creative color combinations are incredibly eye catching. The end result gives the consumer the feeling of owning a one-of-a-kind piece. |

The two women behind this crafty concept are Laguna Beach, CA’s Jaime Shetler and Oceanside, CA’s Laney Mesquita. Both women met some 15 years ago when they were young girls. Life took them in very different directions, Shetler moving to Northern California and diving into the fashion world, Mesquita finishing school at U.S.D. and moving to Rio de Janeiro with her Brazilian husband. About 2 years ago they both found themselves back in southern California and facing turning points in their lives. The knowledge Shetler had gained working with fashion and Mesquita’s contacts in Brazil, the two knew they had something good. The concept had been there all along, and the timing was perfect. “Luca” after Mesquita’s son and “Lynn” being Shetler’s middle name, Luca Lynn was established. Together they are the perfect blend of artistry and urban culture, pushing the standards of today’s swim industry. |
